When you think of the Missouri Ozarks and trail-riding you should think of the Missouri Fox Trotter. The Missouri Fox Trotting Horse was developed by the early Ozark Mountain settlers to provide a smooth, quick, riding horse that was also sure-footed enough to handle rocky, hilly terrain. Our Fox Trotters were born and bred here for riding this country. In addition, we have the fast & comfortable Tennessee Walker breed and smooth ambling Peruvian Paso's to round out our offering of gaited breeds riding.

Meramec Farm
Set on the spring-fed Meramec River in East Central Missouri, Meramec Farm has been in the same family since 1811. It's a working cattle ranch surrounded by wild country. The ride begins at your cabin door!

Your Horse or Ours
At Meramec Farm our goal is to show you beautiful country without crowds. Horse owners are invited to bring their own animals. So that you can enjoy the scenery, we keep our groups small.

Ride by the hour or day:

1 Hour Ride: $25 per person,
2 - 3 Hour Rides $20/person per hour.
4 Hour Trips: $75 per person.
